First paddle trip of 2024! We hit our home waters for a saltwater canoe trip at mostly low tide. The water is still pretty chilly but with that comes still clear waters great for looking for underwater critters. We saw sea squirts and whelks as well as lots of jumping mullet and a few big stingrays.
On the bird front we saw great egrets, herons, laughing gulls and a beautiful oyster catcher.
We have a new bow paddler in training!
Beautiful day for a shake down paddle!
