Three days of awesome kayak fishing with my good buddy John "Little Hook" Cargill!
Day 1
Fished a half day around Sleepy Creek. Beautiful afternoon on the water but not a lot of fish biting except some undersized flounder.
Day 2
Fishing around the Straits side of Brown's Island. Some short flounder and then John got into a school of upper slot sized red drum and went for a couple of sleigh rides! Very fun!
Day 3
Our final day of fishing we decided to due a complete circumnavigation paddle of Brown's Island. We ended with over 8 miles of paddling on this day. The wind was much stronger than anticipated so we spend much of the day fighting the wind and not catching many fish until we got back into the mouth of Sleepy Creek when John hooked up with what would have been a keeper flounder had it been in season. Great three days of paddling!
