November 2023 - A Thanksgiving camping trip to Ocracoke Island. We camped at the National Park Service campground. The last loop of the campground is a "quiet" section with no generators allowed. Perfect for tent camping - it keeps most of the high tech RV crowd in a different area.

We hiked the Springer's Point Preserve trail and the Hammock Hills Nature Trail (located across the street from the National Park Campground). A visit to the lighthouse is mandatory. Beach walks and beach sunsets are always a highlight. Great food from Eduardo's Taco Truck and Howard's Pub and great beer at the 1718 Brewery. Overall, a fun 3 days on Ocracoke Island!
